October 2014: I ran my first half marathon and had so much fun that I immediately signed up for a second!

April 2015: I ran my second half marathon, and due to insufficient training and a scorching hot day (at least that’s how I remember it…) I did not have very much fun… I have not been running consistently since.

January 2023: Krista got excited about running the Covered Bridges half marathon and inspired me to try running again, so I signed up with her! I have since started running again and its fun!

June 2023: With the help of beautiful Vermont valleys, historic covered bridges and (hopefully) a cooler day I will revisit the runners high that I experienced at my first half marathon! All while supporting a critical nonprofit helping young families in the Upper Valley.

We are a team of runners supporting The Family Place in its 37th year of providing education, support and services to Upper Valley children and families.

Our team members have committed to raising at least $500 each by running in the Covered Bridges Half Marathon on Sunday, June 4, 2023!. Money from fundraisers for the Covered Bridges Half Marathon is vital to The Family Place because it isn't earmarked for any specific program; instead, it can be applied to wherever the need is greatest in our organization. It's only with the support of our generous community that we can provide continuous, comprehensive services and support to all families with young children.
