When a tiny newborn enters this world they are filled with openness and innocence, waiting to be formed. I know this firsthand, as I am embarking on the journey of raising my son. I look at his tiny, innocent, joyful eyes peering up at me, and I know that I am responsible for shaping and molding him. I hope that the energy, guidance, and values I instill in him today will benefit him as an adult. However, I know that the person he becomes will be influenced not only by how I raise him, but also by society, and the community surrounding him. 

The Family Place is an organization whose mission is near and dear to me, especially as a new mother. The Family Place was formed to help children and their families thrive. They work to promote the health of families with young children through providing community connection and support. By raising funds for the Family Place, we can hopefully influence the health and wellbeing of this generation and many to come.

We are a team of runners supporting The Family Place in its 37th year of providing education, support and services to Upper Valley children and families.

Our team members have committed to raising at least $500 each by running in the Covered Bridges Half Marathon on Sunday, June 4, 2023!. Money from fundraisers for the Covered Bridges Half Marathon is vital to The Family Place because it isn't earmarked for any specific program; instead, it can be applied to wherever the need is greatest in our organization. It's only with the support of our generous community that we can provide continuous, comprehensive services and support to all families with young children.
