Twenty years ago, when I resided in the Upper Valley, I had my first child and found The Family Place, a remarkable institution that played a pivotal role in our lives. During this time, my good friend Beth Kolehmainen was part of its dedicated staff, and later, my sister Elizabeth Chabot served as a committed board member. Their contributions greatly enhanced this supportive environment. It was here that I gained invaluable insights into child development, an experience that deeply enriched my understanding and approach to parenting. Now, in 2024, it brings me immense joy and a sense of full circle to join the team running Covered Bridges Half Marathon. It's not just a personal challenge but a meaningful opportunity to give back, as the funds raised will directly support The Family Place, continuing its legacy of positively impacting families and communities.
